NOR-VAL RENTALS HistoryNOR-VAL RENTALS was founded in Armstrong in 1994 by Paul and Shirley Miron along with their son Jim Clipperton. The strong need for a rental store in Armstrong and the great customer service provided by Paul and Jim allowed the company to grow very quickly. By 1998 NOR-VAL RENTALS had a number of customers in Vernon and took the opportunity to add a store there. The expansion into Vernon proved to be very successful and this store quickly became and remains the busiest store. In 2006 Paul and Shirley decided it was time to pass their successful company on. Two long time customers and local farmers, Ralph Leyenhort and Larry Vandergugten, stepped in and became Jim’s new partners. In 2007 NOR-VAL RENTALS saw a growing need for Event rentals equipment in the North Okanagan and convinced Jim’s wife Shelli to head up its new division, NOR-VAL EVENT RENTALS. This division shares a building with the Vernon store, has been growing very quickly, and has its own website full exciting equipment (please follow the link on this page). In 2010 Jim was approached by a rental store in Lake Country with offer to sell his company to NOR-VAL RENTALS. The close proximity to the other stores and the prospects of Lake Country made this offer hard to resist, so NOR-VAL RENTALS grew with its third location. NOR-VAL RENTALS is very involved in the three communities it serves (Armstrong, Vernon, Lake Country) and is proud to support a number of community events. |
